LAWMAKERS RECOGNIZE ROCKFORD FOOTBALL CHAMPS

March 18, 2009

State Rep. Tom Pearce, R-Rockford, and Sen. Mark Jansen, R-Grand Rapids, recently welcomed the Rockford High School Rams football team to Lansing to be recognized as winners of the 2008 Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 1 Football Championship. The Rams defeated the Lake Orion Dragons, 26-14, at Ford Field on Nov. 29 to claim their third state title. The team, coaches and lawmakers are pictured inside the Michigan Senate chamber.

Pearce fights for better road funding

Michigan which currently only receives 92 cents back for every dollar it sends to the federal government in the form of federal gas taxes.

When there is a need we give, when someone is hurting we care, and when someone experiences success we celebrate.
